Hello! I'm Sam, a licensed clinical mental health counsellor originally from Detroit and Chicago, now happily based in Glasgow.
With over ten years in the mental health field, eight as a clinical mental health counsellor, I've worked across a range of settings: schools, community mental health, crisis support, and private practice. I’ve worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including the impact of trauma, PTSD, neurodivergence, chronic illness, life transitions, and everyday stressors. My practice is rooted in a commitment to social justice, equitable access to care, and anti-oppressive, trauma-informed work.
Alongside my clinical work, I research and write about MDMA-assisted therapy as a novel treatment for PTSD, with a focus on accessibility and those most impacted by the war on drugs. I recently completed MAPS training as an MDMA-assisted therapist, and will be completing a full certification in psychedelic-assisted therapy throughout 2026.
Before training as a clinical mental health counsellor, I studied fine art, taught English abroad, and spent several years in the corporate world across travel, housing, and marketing; experiences which shape the curiosity and creativity I bring into the therapy room.
